ABOUT US

Vagabondage is a Bay Area, California based folk-punk band that was born over nachos and wine on a tiny stage in an empty theater in San Francisco’s Mission District. With flasks held high, they play songs of heartbreak, hope, and doom, and have been getting people up on their feet to yell, drink, and sing along to their original songs since 2008.

John Flaw (guitar / vocals)  throws gale force winds of passion down on the stage for Vagabondage, while charming audiences with his wit and magnetism for 915 Cayuga and other stage productions in the Bay Area. In his spare time he creates handmade kazoos and watches horror movies at 4am.

Emchy (accordion / vocals)  squeezes her box and raises her voice with Vagabondage, Rhubarb Whiskey, Oakland Wine Drinkers Union, and other unnamed obscure musical adventures. She also reads poems around town and tries to avoid arm wrestling in bars.
Hans Winold (upright bass)  plucks, bows, and slaps that bow fiddle for Vagabondage, T & A, and Bug, as well as rocking vocals, mandola, banjo, and harmonica for FrontJunk. He also teaches trapeze, raises chickens, and forgets to sleep.
Eric “Scratch” Ingerson (percussion)  wears an accretion of junk, which he scratches and bangs on for Bay Area bands Vagabondage and FrontJunk. When he’s not playing percussion, he is bandaging tin can cuts and receiving tetanus shots.
Sean Malroy (fiddle / mandolin)  also plays violin for The Sweet Trade and Rhubarb Whiskey. He is known to be a bit of cad and Led Zepplin aficionado.
